Summer learning journey
Today for the summer learning journey he were learning about world war 2 and the day the wars stopped and this was our task. Imagine that you were living in New Zealand in 1945 and you had to plan a VE day party at your house. Who would you invite? What would you do to celebrate? I would invite my friends and family to our house for a party and have a barbecue
and swim in our pool out the back of our house.
Hey there Sam, my name is Billy and I am from the Summer Learning Journey programme. It's fantastic to see that you have been working hard and completing a few activities this summer. I hope you keep it up and continue throughout your break.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a description of your party following the victory of the second world war. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about what sort of food you would serve? What would you cook on the BBQ?
Thanks, Billy
Kia Ora Sam,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Georgia and I am the cluster manager for the Kaikohekohe (Northland) cluster. For the next few days, I'll be commenting on students blogs from Uru Manuka and I am very excited to see the work you all have been doing this summer.
Good work on this activity! A BBQ and a swim in the pool sounds like a great way to celebrate the end of a war. What sort of food do you usually have when you have a BBQ? Would you have anything special for this party?
Keep up the great work!
