Summer learning journey

Summer learning journey

Today in is the 2nd day in week 2 of the summer learning journey we have been learning about popular culture I reckon the man was trying to make his way out of the snow. I wouldn't like silent movies because it doesn't give you information of what going on and you don't know what there doing.

  1. Hi Sam,

My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you this summer as part of the Summer Learning Journey program. It's great to see that you have made a start on these activities! Well done!

Good work with this activity. It is difficult to understand what is going on sometimes. But often it can be easy because all the movements are exaggerated.
What do you think some of the good things would be about silent movies? I think the way they use comedy is quite clever.

I look forward to reading more of your blog over summer.
    Cheers,
    Ruby.

  2. Kia Ora Sam,

Georgia here from the Kaikohekohe cluster. I've been enjoying reading your different blog posts so far.

I agree, it can be quite hard to understand what is going on in a silent film, but sometimes this means you have to use other parts of the film to help you find out what is happening. Instead of listening to words, you have to look at the people's faces and how they react to things. It can be quite fun to imagine what they're thinking, since they don't tell you. Did you enjoy any part of this silent film? I haven't seen it before.

    Keep up the great work!
