           CIP

For the last few weeks for our Community Impacts Projects we had been planning A budget lunch for six people with only $12. On Wednesday the 12 of June every group went down to paknsave and then we came back and started making our budget lunch and then when we finished making the lunch we said karakia and ate the food.

Maths dmic

This week for dmic we were given a maths problem about a bake sale. The task was to figure out how we could modify the question to make the profit of $250. How we could work it out is it is $2.50 for a punnet of 1 dozen strawberries and $3.95 for 2 dozen pieces of chocolate. Here is a dlo of the problem

This week for reading our teacher read out a story and then we had to use our minds and visualise what it would look like. After that we had to draw what we thought it could of looked like.

This week for our new hurumanu we have been learning about music and different genres. Today we learnt about different types of guitars and wrote out the definition of some parts. Here are some different stuff we had to write out the definition for.

Tuning pegs - put tension on the strings to tune them
Capo - holds down all 6 strings at the same time
Backpacker guitar - a guitar with a small body you can take to places

This week for design tech we got our device stands that we had designed on laser works v8. The first thing we did was some planning on paper. After that we did a little research of what we were going to put on our device holders and what are the good and bad things of acrylic plastic.
