The bones of the feet can tell a lot about a person. What do feet reveal about a person's height? Forensic anthropologists team up with law enforcers to help solve crimes.
Bones of the feet can reveal an interesting fact about an individual. Let's combine math with forensics to see how.

15 is the number used by investigators to determine a persons height based on their feet. This is because 15% of a persons height is the length of their foot.

Find out what percentage of your height is your feet. To do this you need to:
Divide the length of each person's foot by his/her height then multiply it by 100.

Aim: To look at the different types of fingerprints.


Steps

  1.   Get your ink pad.
  2.   Place your finger in.
  3.   Put your finger carefully on the balloon.
  4.    Blow your balloon up.
  5.   Have a look at your finger print.

Dirty water expermient

Aim: To make a filtration plant using household materials.

What is filtration?


Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass. 

Examples are:

  1.  Pool
  2.  Oil 
  3. Water

Materials

1.One bottle cut in half
2. scissors
3. Filtering paper
4.Pebbles
5. Dirty water
6.Sand

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )


Step 1

Cut the bottle in half

Step 2

Put the top half upside down in the other half

STEP 3

Add layers of  sand

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water 

STEP 5

Pour the dirty water into the funnel

Conclusion:
My groups first attempt with filtering the water didn't go so well because we mightn't of put the filtering paper in the bottle properly But the second attempt our water that we experimented with came out nearly perfect see through

Today you will be a Forensic Chemist. 

A bag of white powder has been confiscated by the airport customs.  You need to find out what white powder it is?

Aim: To learn about the makeup of different white powders.

There are  a number of different white powders in our everyday life. Some of these are harmful and others are not. Test the four white powders listed to see which one has been found at the airport.

You will be given a small amount of 4 white powders on your cardboard. On the black cardboard using a magnifying glass look at the powders.
Look at them under your magnifying glass and record what you see. 

These are the four powders we will be using. Upload a photo of each powder.

Flight

FLIGHT

Aim: To learn about flight and aerodynamics.

Conclusion:
The plane with ailerons went the furthest because it had more drag but normal weight so it was more controlled than the others aeroplanes
